Content Structure

The design direction and the format of my design resolution for the design context brief will be driven by the primary and secondary research that I have collected over the course of this module and ultimately my whole time during this course. I have focused my title of the publication on the design process of independent design studios and the different methods of working towards designing publications. This relates directly to my practice as my practice has gradually developed towards working on editorial work, experimenting with formats, stocks and designing with the consideration to production, information and budget. Professionally I aim to work for/ gain experience with independent design studios in the UK and Europe after the course, which the design & research process feeds directly into.

So far I have gathered a number of first hand interviews with a number of progressive design studios who work in small numbers, this will contribute to my source of secondary research aswell and fill in as the content of my publication. I will also feature projects that are relevant to my own practice and the subject of the publication itself.

In terms of the very early structure and a list of the content I have to work with in it's isolated form, here's what I have so far: The order of this will change, depending on how the design development progresses and how the flow of the book works.
