Asyl

Recently discovered this Japanese design studio called Asyl. They seem to work mainly within publication design, but the approach is quite varied, pushing typography, japanese type, image and photography to it's limits. The design outcomes contain elements of typography and layout that I can appreciate, whilst also reflecting the japanese design methods that I also enjoy looking at. The use of Japanese characters distinctive colours and daring layout choices are quite exciting and refreshing to see.
