Current Progress

Just a brief overview of my progress and reflection of my design practice so far seeing as we're about to break up for a 3 weeks Easter break. We're atleast half way through this module now and with 8 weeks left until submission, ( That includes the 3 weeks over easter) I really can't afford to be wasting any time now. So far I have started and been working on 7 briefs:

- Fine Art Yearbook (Collaboratio/in progress)
- Garry Barker (Pitch/Done but spending a day to make final revisions.)
- ISTD Fakery (Done but spending a day improving and reprinting.)
- End of year show (Collaboration / pitch/ Didn't get picked. Complete)
- Laura Stubbs Fashion design branding/look book (In progress)
- Design Context (In progress)
- Interior design prospectus (Collaboration / in progress)

- People's Publication (Not started)
- City Guide / mapping (Not started)

My progress so far has been going alright so far, it was a bit of a slow start to get work completed but being quite productive more recently as I'm feeling the pressure more with the multiple collaborations and live briefs, which makes me appreciate my own written briefs a bit more. In terms of briefs, I feel that I have a good selection of work, ranging from live to self initiated briefs of varying time limits, budgets and type of work it is.

Over the summer break, I will be having atleast a 1 week placement in Leeds so I'll have to manage my time well to go into uni or work on the current projects after work so ensure that I keep on top of things. I still feel a bit behind with my progress so this is the time to catch up on things. My aims for the Easter break would be

- to work on the yearbook layouts and aim to get a mockup completed to show Fine Art by the time we get back.

- Continue developing the Interior design prospectus to present further progress to Steve Edge,
- Get Laura Stubbs materials completed
- Source all content & materials for design context
- Make a start on a new brief
- Revise and wrap up Garry Barker publication and Fakery.
